The Purpose of Porting and
Polishing :
- The whole purpose of
porting and polishing is to make the exhaust and intake passages breath much
easier. The more air that is taken into the engine, the more atomized
fuel will follow, and the more power will be produced. By increasing the
flow of your heads it is possible to increase torque and horsepower without
hurting the durability of your motorcycle or atv.
4 Stroke Motor Modifications
Include :
- Removal and
Inspection of valve springs, retainers, buckets, shims, and seals
- Valve clearance is
checked and shims are replaced (if necessary)
- Seal surfaces are
lapped to ensure proper closure
- Heads are internally
altered to improve airflow
- Flow Bench tests are
completed
- Calls will be placed
if any replacement parts are necessary or recommended
2 Stroke Motor Modifications
Include :
- Disassembly and
cleaning of cylinder
- Exhaust valves (if
apply) are cleaned and inspected
- All airflow passages
are inspected and modified for supreme airflow
- All cylinders must
have head modifications to maximize porting benefits
- Cylinders are
reassembled and exhaust valves are timed
